あらゆる環境負荷の低減を推進します。今年度から、タイの製造拠点も加わり、今後は、国内はもとより、海外の製造拠点でも環境負荷低減に努め、環境調和型製品を製造し提供していきます。 2010年度の「国際生物多様性年」以降は各企業が生物多様性保全を強く意識しはじめました。東芝キヤリアグループでは、それに先駆け、2009年度から国内の主要3拠点において、生物多様性保全活動を展開してきました。国内最大の製造拠点である富士事業所、自然豊かな津山事業所や掛川事業所では、事業所敷地内にさまざまな生物が生息するビオトープが形成されています。今後さらに、これらの自然を観察保護しながら、各事業所が生物多様性保全活動を実施し、地球内企業として自然と調和した企業活動を推進します。 今回、富士事業所において地域の大学生との協働による「小学生の環境新聞づくり」を実施しました。当事業所の環境活動を紹介するだけでなく、お互いのコミュニケーションを大切にし、企業活動を通じて少しでも地域の皆さまに活力をお届けしたいと考えています。また、企業活動の全ステージにおいて、多くのステークホルダーの皆さまのご協力をいただきながら、グループ全員が一丸となって、より良い環境調和型製品の提供を目指していきます。ン企業へSeptember, 2012 Akira InoueWe recognize CSR is a management matter of the utmost importance, and aim at the reduction of global environ-mental burdens. Responding to the need for electricity-saving after the great earthquake in the northeastern district of Japan, we started to provide heat-pump machines to change the heat source from fossil fuel in the industrial society where the environmental burdens are relatively large. In addition to that, we put environment-conscious products into the market of emerging countries where increased CO2 emissions are expected in future, ahead of competitors. Along with our production site in Thailand which was inaugurated this year, we strive for reduction of environmental burdens in our domestic and overseas production sites, and manufacture and provide environment-conscious products.We promote corporate activity in harmony with nature, through conservation of biological diversity. At our Fuji Operation Center, the biggest domestic manufacturing site, and Tsuyama Operation Center and Kakegawa Operation Center, both with rich natural surroundings, various living things inhabit the surroundings and create biotopes. We protect these living things, carry out activities to preserve biological diversity at each Operation Center, and promote corporate activity in harmony with nature.We try not only to introduce the environmental activities of our Operation Centers, but also to deliver dynamism to the local area through cooperation with regional communities.
