Installation of the refrigerants not specified by Carrier HVAC Asia Pacific for use

Refrigeration and air-conditioning units are designed and manufactured on the assumption that the product is used with a specific refrigerant suitable for each unit.

But we recently see some cases where the type of refrigerant different from the one originally installed in the product is use. Such actions may cause mechanical defects, malfunctions, or failures, and in some of the cases, they may result in a serious safety trouble. Therefore, for our products, please do not install the refrigerant other than the one specified by Carrier HVAC Asia Pacific for respective products.

The type of the refrigerant used for each of our products is shown in the accompanying users’ manual, or in the product label attached on the product itself. Carrier HVAC Asia Pacific shall not assume any liability for failures, malfunctions or troubles of the products in which a refrigerant different from the one specified for that product is installed.
